I will discuss what has worked for me. I am an average 58 year old white male that was in bad health and wanted to be active with my family.

Fitness takes a community

I thought I could do it on my own. I am a well educated person. I realized after several years of failing to make a positive change that I needed support to achieve my health goals.

Do something daily

We all need to do something about our health every day. Come along with me and I will talk about what I am doing.

I finally found a program that I could stay with

Constantly varied high intensity interval training 

Functional movements make sense to me. Being able to get off the ground. Get off the couch. Get busy doing something.

I will talk about the way CrossFit makes me feel. 

Learn nutrition as well as movement

I will explore different eating habits - some good, some not as good, and some that are just bad.

800 grams fruits and vegetables every day! That is a great start to nutrition goals.

Tracking what you eat and drink is critical to success. This is not going to be easy, but it is attainable.

I am not a dietician nor traditionally trained nutritionist. I will talk about what works for me.
